Bookings will be added to your shopping cart and are not considered booked until checkout is complete
Before checkout I encourage you to explore the accessories. The base boat rental includes all required equipment and fuel.

You must be 25 years of age or older with a valid drivers license. Anyone operating the boat must present a valid license. The state of Ohio requires those born after Jan 1, 1982 to meet the following conditions
- Sign the rental agreement stating that you have completed a boaters education course approved by NASBLA. (We do not request proof).
- or
- Pass a 10 question abbreviated exam provided by the State of Ohio and administered at check-in. You may find a link to the exam and study guide on the check-in tab.
Proceed to the cart for check-out. Beginning 2025 we require full payment in advance. This allows us to expedite check in on the lake.

*During the Booking you will be required to provide at least one driver's license for the primary operator. We may check your MVR with the BMV. (any others whom will be operating the boat or providing supervised lookout for children must also meet said requirements)

Check the weather and plan accordingly. We do not cancel for overcast or light showers. If severe weather is in the forecast its a good idea to text or call ahead. We will do our best to contact you in advance if we must cancel. If that happens we will refund you 100%.
Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete the Rental agreement/Checklists. Please review Rental Agreement here We will ask you to complete this on arrival.
If you were born on or after Jan 1, 1982 and plan to operate or supervise watersports the State of Ohio requires you to have a certificate of completion for a boating safety course. You may either sign that you have already completed the course (we do not require proof) or you may elect to take the abbreviated exam upon arrival.(It's easy really we promise!)
- We encourage Renters to take the boat safety course and obtain your certification in advance. It is a free/charitable service and can be accomplished in a few hours. You can sign up to take your certification here
- If you plan to take the abbreviated exam instead, you can use the Ohio Boat Operators Guide to study for the 10 question multiple choice exam. The exam must be taken onsite without reference materials. You have two attempts to score 90% or better. Please follow the link above to review the exam prior to arrival.
Any of the Renters invitee's who plan to operate or serve as an adult supervisor (water sports look-out) must meet the same requirements mentioned above. Please plan for those individuals.
During the check in we will complete two checklists with the Renter. Condition of the watercraft. Inventory of gear. Both the condition and the inventory will be checked upon return. Damaged or missing items will result in charges as listed on the agreement.
Please do not be late arriving or returning. Other customers are waiting for their rental time so we cannot accommodate extra time before or after your booking TERM.
Bring lots of sunscreen.
DO NOT WEAR BRAND NEW bathing suits. The ink-dye in new suits tends to bleed onto the seats/upholstery and cannot be removed.
Bring towels
Plan to secure any personal items. Hats and sunglasses often get blown off. It's best to leave valuables or favorite attire at home
Bring any additional drinks/food your family may need
Become familiar with the lake map. At minimum you will likely need to know where you can swim (boat camp), where shallows exist or marked tree stumps, you should also be aware of no-wake zones.

If severe weather strikes during your session please be safe and return promptly. If you are caught in a lightning storm you should try to get the boat docked and into the safety of shelter. We will prorate your booking for time used. Please note we cannot extend your time into other bookings but will do so if available.
Wear your life jacket. Poor water visibility is one of the leading dangers on the lake.
Anyone participating in watersports must by law wear a lifejacket. We encourage you to wear it at all times. Children 10 and under are required by law to wear a lifejacket at all times.
You must have a look-out (observer) watching water sports activities at all times and should agree upon some basic hand signals prior to participating. The state of Ohio requires observers to be 10 years of age or older.
ALWAYS TURN THE ENGINE OFF when exiting/entering the boat or working to attached watersports gear.
Review the placards in the boat for instructions to anchor or use inflatables
The ODNR is your friend. They do patrol and may tie up to your boat at anytime to check onboard. It is not uncommon! Be polite and courteous as they are the first person you will call if you really need help. Most of the time they may ask to check safety equipment on board or if they observe something dangerous they may give fair warning.
Speaking of help if you have a mechanical breakdown please call or text the rental agency. We may at times need to enact the ODNR or request a towing. The ODNR can be reached by calling #ODNR from a mobile phone as well.
Please be mindful of your rental period. Others are often waiting for your return and we need time to prepare the watercraft as we did for you.

Please arrive back to the pick-up location by the end of your booking. This does not mean that you start back at the end of your time. You must arrive back by the end of your time so we can prepare the watercraft for others.
Upon return we will review the conditions and inventory checklists as quickly as possible. We hope no one incurs additional charges. It is not good for us as we have to repair or maintain the watercraft for rental. Please be considerate and mindful to this fact. If charges are necessary we will review that with the Renter. Charges will need to be settled by credit card prior to departure.
We will clean the boat and empty trash etc.
You can leave inflatables inflated or partially so out and about. We understand that takes time and work and your time should be focused on having fun! We will clean, deflate, and stow items as needed for the next party
We will refuel the watercraft. You do not need to refill the gas.
